TO HELP CHILDREN IN NEED REACH THEIR POTENTIAL THROUGH PROFESIONALLY-SUPPORTED, ONE-TO-ONE MENTORING RELATIONSHIPS.

BIG BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF MISSOULA, INC. MATCHES CHILDREN FACING ADVERSITY WITH ADULT VOLUNTEER MENTORS. THE GOAL IS TO PROVIDE THESE AT-RISK CHILDREN WITH POSITIVE ADULT ATTENTION. WITH A POSITVE ROLE MODEL AND FRIEND, HELPS THEM AVOID RISKY BEHAVIORS AND TO STAY IN SCHOOL. IN FYE 6-30-18, OVER 176 CHILDREN WERE PROVIDED WITH MENTORS IN THE COMMUNITY AND SCHOOL PROGRAMS. THE AVERAGE LENGTH OF A MATCH IN THE COMMUNITY PROGRAM AND SCHOOL MENTORING PROGRAM WAS 20.6 MONTHS.
