THE LOYOLA EARLY LEARNING CENTER IS A PARISH PRESCHOOL DAYCARE CENTER AND EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAM, ROOTED IN A CATHOLIC JESUIT TRADITION OF PERSONAL CARE, LEARNING AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH, WHICH SERVES EARLY CHILDHOOD BOYS AND GIRLS FROM ALL INCOME LEVELS THE YEAR ROUND. THIS HIGH QUALITY PRESCHOOL LEARNING CENTER PROVIDES LONG TERM BENEFITS FOR A DIVERSE GROUP OF TWO TO FIVE YEAR OLD CHILDREN FROM THE CITY OF BALTIMORE. THE LEARNING CENTER FOCUSES ON THE HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN------ PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, COGNITIVE, CREATIVE, SOCIAL, BEHAVIORAL AND SPIRITUAL. THE MAJORITY OF THE STUDENTS ARE FROM LOW INCOME FAMILIES. SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE FOR CHILDREN FROM SUCH FAMILIES.

LELC WILL OPEN ON SEPTEMBER 10TH TO PROVIDE PRESCHOOL CHILDREN FROM LOW INCOME FAMILIES IN BALTIMORE CITY WITH A HIGH QUALITY EARLY EDUCATION PROGRAM THAT WILL GREATLY INCREASE THEIR POTENTIAL FOR FUTURE ACADEMIC SUCCESS. ELEVEN FOUNDERS HAVE PROVIDED FUNDS FOR BOTH SCHOOL RENOVATIONS AND OPERATING EXPENSES. CONSTRUCTION WORK ON THE SITE IS FULLY UNDERWAY. A FULL TIME DIRECTOR AND EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT HAVE BEEN HIRED. WE ARE PREPARING TO HIRE OUR FIRST TEACHERS AND TEACHERS AIDS. SEVERAL FAMILIES HAVE ALREADY APPLIED FOR ADMISSION OF THEIR CHILDREN. MANY GENEROUS DONORS HAVE AGREED TO SPONSOR A STUDENT THROUGH THE THREE YEAR PROGRAM SO THAT OUR STUDENTS FROM LOW INCOME FAMILIES WILL HAVE A SCHOLARSHIP SPONSOR.
