HEALTHY CORNER STORE PROGRAM. THE CORNERSTONE OF OUR ORGANIZATION, WE DELIVER FRESH PRODUCE DAILY TO OVER 40 LOCATIONS IN KANSAS CITY'S MOST AT-RISK AND FOOD INSECURE COMMUNITIES.
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE MID-AMERICA REGIONAL COUNCIL (MARC), KANBE'S CONTINUED TO DELIVER FROZEN MEALS ALONG WITH BREAD, MILK, AND FRESH PRODUCE TO THOUSANDS OF OLDER ADULTS AND INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES ACCROSS FIVE COUNTIES. OVER 374,000 MEALS WERE DELIVERED.
PREPARED MEAL PROGRAM FOR HOUSELESS POPULATION ACROSS KANSAS CITY, IN THREE PHASES: FEED KC FORWARD - WORKED WITH LOCAL RESTAURANTS TO CREATE AND DELIVER 12,250 MEALS. HOTEL MEALS PROGRAM - WORKED WITH LOCAL RESTAURANTS TO CREATE AND DELIVER 5,600 MEALS. KITCHEN PILOT - CREATED 9,240 MEALS ON SITE TO DISTRIBUTE TO HOUSELESS POPULATIONS IN THE KANSAS CITY AREA.
