MWCA DOES A SIGNIFICANT NUMBER OF EDUCATION OUTREACH EFFORTS. WE SUPPORT 7 AREA COUNCILS WHO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL LOCAL SUPPORT AND TRAINING FOR WEED MANAGEMENT EFFORTS, INCLUDING 3 TRAVELING EDUCATIONAL TRAILERS. THERE ARE 3 REGIONAL WEED MANAGER TRAININGS. TOPICS INCLUDE ALL ASPECTS OF WEED MANAGEMENT AND TRAININGS ARE APPROVED FOR COMMERICAL PESTICIDE RECERTIFICATION CREDITS.
ANNUAL EDUCATION CONFERENCE: OPEN TO THE PUBLIC WITH OVER 300 ATTENDEES THAT INCLUDES FEDERAL, STATE, COUNTY AND CITY EMPLOYEES; PRODUCERS/ RANCHERS, BUSINESS AND PRIVATE LANDOWNERS/CITIZENS. MORE THAN 40 LEARNING SESSIONS ARE PROVIDED COVERING ALL ASPECTS OF WEED MANAGEMENT. TRAININGS ARE CERTIFIED FOR COMMERCIAL AND PRIVATE PESTICIDE CREDITS.
MWCA PROVIDES MEMBERS WITH A QUARTERLY PUBLICATION FOCUSED ON ALL ASPECTS OF WEED MANAGES, AS WELL AS A WEBSITE THAT IS UPDATED TO PROVED THE PUBLIC WITH INFORMATION ABOUT WEED MANAGEMENT. MWCA PROVIDES LOW COST DEVELOPMENT AND DISTRIBUTION OF PUBLICATIONS FOR WEED MANAGERS. MWCA SUPPORTS 7 AREA COUNCILS THAT POVDIE ADDITIONAL LOCAL SUPPORT AND TRAINING FOR WEED MANAGEMENT EFFORTS.
