PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING AND REHABILITATIVE SERVICES FOR AT-RISK YOUTH.
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH JEFFERSON COUNTY JUVENILE PROBATION AND LAMAR UNIVERSITY, IEA'S YOUTH JOB TRAINING PROGRAM HAS PROVEN TO BE A SUCCESSFUL COMMUNITY-BASED STRATEGY FOR HELPING YOUTH DEVELOP SKILLS TO PREPARE THEM FOR THE WORKFORCE. AS AN EFFORT TO INSPIRE AND ENCOURAGE YOUTH TO ACHIEVE STRONGER CHARACTER, A SOLID WORK ETHIC AND BRIGHTER FUTURES, IEA RECRUITS VOLUNTEERS FROM GROUPS, ORGANIZATIONS, BUSINESSES AND INDIVIDUALS TO ASSIST WITH IDENTIFYING CUSTOMERS TO PURCHASE HEALTHY, NUTRITIOUS DOG TREATS AS WELL AS IDENTIFY SITES FOR YOUTH TO DISTRIBUTE THE PRODUCT. THIS PROJECT EMPOWERS YOUTH WITH KNOWLEDGE AND A CIRCLE OF SUPPORT THAT CREATES PATHWAYS TOWARD HEALTHY LIFESTYLES AND BRIGHTER FUTURES.
