THE AMERICAN INDIAN SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING SOCIETY (AISES) IS A NATIONAL, NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION FOCUSED ON SUBSTANTIALLY INCREASING THE REPRESENTATION OF AMERICAN INDIANS, ALASKA NATIVES, NATIVE HAWAIIANS, PACIFIC ISLANDERS, FIRST NATIONS AND OTHER INDIGENOUS PEOPLES OF NORTHER AMERICA IN SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATH (STEM) STUDIES AND CAREERS.

PRE-COLLEGE PROGRAMS - THE FOCUS OF AISES'S PRE-COLLEGE PROGRAMS IS TO BUILD AWARENESS AND INCREASE RETENTION IN K-12 STEM BY PROVIDING INDIGENOUS K-12 STUDENTS, PARENTS, AND EDUCATORS EXPOSURE AND ACCESS TO QUALITY CURRICULUM, PROGRAMS, AND OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPOSE, INTEREST, AND ENGAGE THEM IN STEM DISCIPLINES
NATIONAL CONFERENCE THE ANNUAL NATIONAL CONFERENCE IS AISES' MAJOR EVENT FOR ITS CONSTITUENTS. THE EVENT OFFERS COMPANIES A UNIQUE FORUM FOR RECRUITING INDIGENOUS STUDENTS AND PROFESSIONALS AS THE AISES NATIONAL CONFERENCE HOSTS THE LARGEST COLLEGE AND CAREER FAIR FOR INDIGENOUS STUDENTS IN THE NATION. APPROXIMATELY 2,500 PEOPLE ATTEND THE CONFERENCE EACH YEAR, WITH ABOUT HALF OF THOSE BEING NATIVE AMERICAN, ALASKA NATIVE, NATIVE HAWAIIANS, PACIFIC ISLANDER AND OTHER INDIGENOUS HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS. IN 2021, THE NATIONAL CONFERENCE GENERATED $1,327,147 IN CONTRIBUTIONS AND SPONSORSHIPS THAT WERE NOT INCLUDED IN PROGRAM SERVICE REVENUE ON LINE 4A PER IRS INSTRUCTIONS. INCLUDING CONTRIBUTIONS AND SPONSORSHIPS, THE CONFERENCE GENERATED A NET INCOME OF $597,119.
