THE MISSION OF BEND SPAY AND NEUTER PROJECT IS TO PROVIDE AFFORDABLE, PREVENTATIVE VETERINARY CARE TO AT RISK CATS AND DOGS IN CENTRAL OREGON IN ORDER TO CREATE A MORE HUMANE COMMUNITY.

IN 2018, BEND SPAY+NEUTER PROJECT (BSNP) PROVIDED SERVICES FOR OVER 6,000 PETS AND THEIR PEOPLE. OUR AFFORDABLE AND FREE SPAY/NEUTER PROGRAM PROVIDED OVER 3,000 SPAY/NEUTER SURGERIES. OUR WARM SPRINGS RESERVATION PROGRAM PROVIDED OVER 100 FREESPAY/NEUTER SURGERIES FOR DOGS AND OVER 200 VACCINATIONS. THE COMMUNITY CAT PROGRAM PROVIDED OVER 500 FREE SPAY/NEUTER AND VACCINATIONS FOR OUTDOOR AND STRAY CATS. OUR WELLNESS PROGRAM PROVIDED VETERINARY SERVICES FOR OVER 1,500 PATIENTS. OUR HOPE PET FOOD BANK PROVIDED OVER 50,000 LBS OF FREE PET FOOD FOR PETS IN NEED. OUR LOCAL SHELTERS WERE ABLE TO TRANSFER PETS IN FROM HIGH RISK AREAS TO BE ADOPTED HERE IN CENTRAL OREGON DUE TO THE WORK WE ARE DOING TO PREVENT OVERPOPULATION OF CATS AND DOGS. OUR PARTNERSHIPS WITH LOCAL SHELTERS AND RESCUE GROUPS WILL HELP TO ENSURE THAT OUR WORK CONTINUES TO HAVE A GREAT IMPACT ON PREVENTING ANIMAL HOMELESSNESS HERE IN CENTRAL OREGON. BSNP JOINED FORCES AT THE END OF 2018 AND MERGED WITH HUMANE SOCIEITY OF CENTRAL OREGON TO CONTINUE TO PREVENT OVERPOPULATION OF CATS AND DOGS.
