PROVIDE SUPPORT & EDUCATION FOR THE CHILDREN LIVING IN THE REMOTE MOUNTAINS OF SOUTHERN HAITI THROUGH SPONSORING 34 ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS AND THREE HIGH SCHOOLS.

SCHOLARSHIP - THE FOUNDATION PAID THE SALARIES OF 580 TEACHERS AND STAFF WHO HOLD POSITIONS IN THE 37 SCHOOLS WITH WHICH WE PARTNER. WE ALSO PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIP FUNDING TO EIGHT STUDENTS WHO ATTENDED COLLEGE IN PORT AU PRINCE. VARIOUS OTHER NEEDS WERE MET FOR SCHOOLS IN NEED OF SUPPLIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS - THE FOUNDATION COMPLETED CONSTRUCTION OF THE ST. MATTHIAS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND BEGAN CONSTRUCTION ON THE NOTRE DAME ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. NOTRE DAME WAS A ONE-ROOM SCHOOL WIH LITTLE VENTILATION BUT WILL SOON BE A 10-ROOM SCHOOL THAT WILL HOUSE 120 STUDENTS IN K-6TH GRADES.
OTHER CONSTRUCTION & RELIEF PROJECTS - THE FOUNDATION FUNDED THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SECURITY WALL AT ST. TIMOTHEE, MADE REPAIRS AT VARIOUS SCHOOL PROPERTIES, HELPED WITH A WATER PROJECT AND PROVIDED RELIEF AID. TEACHERS WERE GIVEN TEACHER TRAINING OVER THE SUMMER, SCHOOL SUPPLIES WERE PURCHASED FOR STUDENTS AND 8 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS WERE AWARDED.
