Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
HAVEN OF HOPE INTERNATIONAL, INC. (THE "ORGANIZATION") WAS INCORPORATED ON NOVEMBER 26, 2012, UNDER THE LAWS OF FLORIDA AS A 501 (C) (3) NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION. THE ORGANIZATION HAS BEEN CALLED TO SERVE THE NATION OF ORPHANS-TO RAISE THEIR STANDARD OF CARE. ALONGSIDE THE ORPHANS ARE THE COUNTLESS THOUSAND THAT HELP CARE FOR THEM, MOST OFTEN IN STRUGGLING HOMES THAT ARE BARELY PROVIDING SHELTER, FOOD, AND CLOTHING LET ALONE THE MEDICAL AND TRAUMA CARE THAT MOST OF THESE CHILDREN DESPERATELY NEED. WE FOCUS ON THE VOICELESS CHILDREN LEFT BEHIND-THE ORPHANED, ABANDONED, AND ABUSED. THERE ARE 153 MILLION OF THESE CHILDREN WORLDWIDE. 99.5% WILL NEVER BE ADOPTED. TOGETHER THEY COMPRISE THE 9TH LARGEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD-THE NATION OF ORPHANS. ORPHAN AND FOSTER CARE HOMES ARE THE LAST LINE OF DEFENSE FOR THESE CHILDREN, AND THEY ARE OFTEN IN NEED OF RESCUING THEMSELVES. WE STRENGTHEN AND EMPOWER STRUGGLING HOMES WITH STRATEGIC FUNDING, COACHING, AND TRAINING TO HELP THEM CREATE A LOVING FAMILY ENVIRONMENT AND MOVE THEM FROM BARELY SURVIVING TO THRIVING. OUR GOAL IS TO TRANSFORM WHAT ORPHAN CARE HAS BECOME BY EXPANDING OUR PROVEN MODEL OF CARE WHICH RAISES THE STANDARD OF ORPHAN CARE. CHILDREN ARE ALLOWED TO GROW UP AND LEAD SUCCESSFUL, INDEPENDENT ADULT LIVES. DIRECTORS ARE GIVEN MANAGERIAL, TRAUMA CARE, AND DEVELOPMENT TRAINING SUPPORT HOMES ARE GUIDED TOWARD SUSTAINABILITY AND BEING ABLE TO SELF-FUND IN THE FUTURE. WE BELIEVE THAT EVERY CHILD HAS A GOD-GIVEN TALENT AND A DESTINY TO FULFILL. AND WE BELIEVE THAT WITH OUR MODEL OF ORPHAN CARE, EVERY CHILD CAN FULFILL HIS OR HER DESTINY. WE ENVISION A WIDESPREAD, POSITIVE IMPACT FOR GENERATIONS TO COME. HOMES PROVIDE LOVING FAMILY-STYLE ENVIRONMENTS WHERE ORPHANS CAN FEEL VALUED, LOVED, AND BE RESTORED PHYSICALLY, EMOTIONALLY, AND SPIRITUALLY. CHILDREN LEARN TO DREAM, FULFILL THEIR DREAMS, AND LIVE OFF THE STREETS AND OUT OF POVERTY, IMPROVING THEIR COMMUNITY. CREATING A LIFE-CHANGING, TRANSFORMATIVE MODEL OF CARE BREAKING THE CYCLE OF POVERTY AND ABUSE FOR THESE CHILDREN IS NOT AN EASY TASK. IT TAKES A PLAN THAT GOES BEYOND THREE MEALS, A BED, AND A ROOF. OUR HAVEN OF HOPE MODEL OF CARE PROVIDES PROVEN PROGRAMS AND STRATEGIES THAT HAVE BEEN TESTED FOR 17 YEARS AT OUR FLAGSHIP ORPHAN CARE HOME- REFUGIO DE ESPERANZA IN SANTA CRUZ, BOLIVIA. THE HOME HAS SERVED MORE THAN 350 ORPHANED CHILDREN AND EQUIPPED THEM WITH THE SKILLS NEEDED TO GROW INTO THRIVING YOUNG ADULTS, LIVING INDEPENDENTLY, AND CONTRIBUTING TO THEIR COMMUNITY. WE PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT, PROVEN STRATEGIC PROGRAMS, TRAINING, COACHING, AND RESOURCE ACCESS TO STRENGTHEN AND EMPOWER THE HOMES. THE SUPPORT ENABLES THEM TO MOVE FROM BARELY SURVIVING (PROVIDING CHILDREN ONE MEAL A DAY AND A BED) TO A THRIVING SELF-SUSTAINING HOME THAT RESCUES, RESTORES, AND EQUIPS THE CHILDREN IT SERVES. THE CHILDREN ARE PREPARED TO LEAD SUCCESSFUL INDEPENDENT ADULT LIVES WHEN THEY AGE OUT OF THE ORPHANAGE AT 18 YEARS OF AGE. RESCUE PROGRAMS HELP HOMES CREATE SAFE LIVING CONDITIONS, PROVIDE FOOD AND WATER, AND MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE. RESTORE PROGRAMS INCLUDE TRAUMA CARE, PSYCHOLOGIST AND SOCIAL WORKER SUPPORT, PASTORAL CARE, AND PRAYER. EQUIP PROGRAMS FOCUS ON EDUCATION, TECHNOLOGY TRAINING, VOCATIONAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT, TRANSITION TO INDEPENDENT LIVING READINESS, LIFE SKILLS, AND SELF-SUSTAINABILITY. OUR DEFINITION OF SUCCESS FOR CHILDREN SERVED-HEALTHY BODIES THROUGH MEDICAL/DENTAL, TRAUMA, AND NUTRITION CARE; ENGLISH, TECHNOLOGY, AND LIFE SKILLS TRAINING; A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA, AN EMPLOYABLE VOCATIONAL SKILL OR UNIVERSITY DEGREE; FAMILY AND CHRISTIAN VALUES; AND FINANCIAL RESOURCES TO PURSUE THEIR DREAMS. SUCCESS FOR THE CHILDREN WE SERVE MEANS MAKING CERTAIN THEY DO NOT RETURN TO A LIFE ON THE STREET AND POVERTY.
