CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF CENTRAL FLORIDA STRIVES TO REDUCE POVERTY AND THE IMPACT THAT IT HAS ON FAMILIIES THROUGHOUT THE REGION THROUGH SERVICES AIMED AT PROVIDING EMERGENCY FINANCIAL SUPPORT INCLUDING MORTGAGE, RENT AND UTILITY ASSISTANCE, ORIENTATION AND EMPLOYJMENT SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS NEWLY ARRIVING INTO THE UNITED STATES, CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH COUNSELING AND EDUCATION, AS WELL AS LIFE SKILLS TRAINING, ADULT EDUCATION WITH A FOCUS ON ENGLISH FOR SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES AND SENIOR WELLNESS SERVICES. COUNTIES SERVED ARE ORANGE, OSCEOLA, SEMINOLE, LAKE, SUMTER, MARION, VOLUSIA, BREVARD AND POLK.

WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK AND FEEDING TAMPA BAY, CATHOLIC CHARITIES WORKS TIRELESSLY TO PROVIDE FOOD ASSISTANCE TO HOUSEHOLDS IN NEED. OTHER EMERGENCY SUPPORT SERVICES INCLUDE DISASTER PREPARATION, RELIEF AND RECOVERY, HUMAN TRAFFICKING EDUCATION AND SURVIVOR SUPPORT.
HOUSING SERVICES INCLUDE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT OF AFFORDABLE AND ATTAINABLE HOUSING, OWNERSHIP OF AFFORDABLE PROPERTIES, DEVELOPMENT AND ACQUISITION OF AFFORDABLE PROPERTIES AND HOUSING COUNSELING SERVICES AIMED AT HELPING RENTERS BUDGET RESOURCES ACCORDING TO THEIR INCOME AND TO MOVE, IF POSSIBLE, FROM RENTAL PROPERTIES TO HOME OWNERSHIP.
