EDUCATED THE PUBLIC ABOUT HEALTH INSURANCE PROVISIONS. MAINTAINED A TOLL FREE HEALTH INSURANCE ENROLLMENT LINE. ASSISTED THE PUBLIC WITH REGISTERING FOR HEALTH CARE INSURANCE.
THCC RECEIVED GRANT FUNDING TO IMPLEMENT STRATEGIES AND BEST PRACTICES TO REDUCE COVID-19 RISK AND ENCOURAGE COVID-19 VACCINATION IN UNDERSERVED RURAL COMMUNITIES IN TENNESSEE.
THCC HELD THE ANNUAL ADVOCACY CONFERENCE, WITH THE INTENT TO: INCREASE KNOWLEDGE OF STATE HEALTH DISPARITIES AND HOW HEALTH POLICIES IMPACT TENNESSEE RESIDENTS IN BOTH URBAN AND RURAL AREAS, EXAMINE STRATEGIES TO ADDRESS INEQUITIES IN INSURANCE COVERAGE IN TENNESSEE, PROVIDE ADVOCACY TRAINING AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT TO TENNESSEE STUDENTS AND PROFESSIONALS TO CHAMPION POLICIES THAT PROMOTE BETTER HEALTH AND BETTER HEALTH CARE, AND PROVIDE TRAINING ON EFFECTIVE ADVOCACY STRATEGIES INCLUDING RELATIONSHIP BUILDING WITH POLICYMAKERS AND ADVOCACY TRAINING.
