TO IMPLEMENT THE "WORD OF GOD" IN THE GREATER HARRISBURG AREA, THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND AROUND THE WORLD, BY WORKING WITH GOD'S PEOPLE WHO ARE ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED TO HELP THEM CREATE A BETTER HUMAN HABITAT IN WHICH TO LIVE.TO WORK IN COOPERATION WITH OTHER AGENCIES AND GROUPS THAT HAVE KINDRED PURPOSE, ESPECIALLY WITH THE PARENT BODY, HABITAT FOR HUMANITY INTERNATIONAL, INC.TO ENABLE AN EXPANDING NUMBER OF PERSONS FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MINISTRY.OUR MISSION IS TO WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH GOD AND PEOPLE EVERYWHERE, FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE, TO DEVELOP COMMUNITIES WITH PEOPLE IN NEED BY BUILDING, RENOVATING, AND REPAIRING HOUSES, SO THAT THERE ARE DECENT HOUSES IN DECENT COMMUNITIES IN WHICH EVERY PERSON CAN EXPERIENCE GOD'SLOVE AND CAN LIVE AND GROW INTO ALL THAT GOD INTENDS.

THROUGH GENEROUS FUNDING HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF THE GREATER HARRISBURG AREA WAS ABLE TO FUND THE REPAIRS OF SEVERAL HOMES THROUGH THE CRITICAL HOME REPAIR PROGRAM. THE CRITICAL HOME REPAIR PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO HELP KEEP LOW-INCOME FAMILIES IN THEIR EXISTING HOME BY MAKING HOME REPAIRS FOR WHICH THERE IS AN NEED. ALONG WITH OTHER REQUIREMENTS, HOUSEHOLD GROSS INCOME MUST BE BELOW 80% OF THE AREA MEDIAN FAMILY INCOME IN ORDER TO QUALIFY. 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR SAW THE COMPLETION OF 18 CRITICAL HOME REPAIRS, BRINGING THE TOTAL NUMBER OF HOMES IMPACTED SINCE 2007 TO 213 WITH AN ADDITIONAL 11 REHABS., A NEW SITE FOR FOUR FUTURE HOMES IN OVER THE NEXT TWO FISCAL YEARS, AS WELL AS ONE HOMEOWNER WHO PAID IN FULL HER 14-YEAR MORTGAGE AND NOW OWNS HER HOME. WE WERE ALSO ABLE TO WORK WITH 1,124 VOLUNTEERS FOR A TOTAL NUMBER OF 7,391 VOLUNTEER HOURS.
RESTORES ACCEPT DONATIONS AND SELL A CONSTANTLY CHANGING INVENTORY OF DIVERSE, HIGH-QUALITY MERCHANDISE TO THE PUBLIC AT A FRACTION OF THE RETAIL PRICE, WHILE DIVERTING REUSABLE HOUSEHOLD ITEMS AND BUILDING MATERIALS FROM AREA LANDFILLS. SALES OF DONATED ITEMS HELP HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF THE GREATER HARRISBURG AREA PARTNER WITH LOCAL FAMILIES TO BUILD, REHABILITATE AND REPAIR SAFE AND AFFORDABLE HOMES IN THE COMMUNITY.
