FUNDS RAISED BY BAPTIST MEMORIAL HEALTH CARE FOUNDATION, INC. HELP ACCOMPLISH BAPTIST MEMORIAL HEALTH CARE CORPORATION'S CHARITABLE CARE OBJECTIVES AND PROVIDE RESOURCES FOR ENHANCED PATIENT CARE, EDUCATION, AND GROUNDBREAKING CLINICAL RESEARCH. BAPTIST MEMORIAL HEALTH CARE FOUNDATION, INC. SOLICITS, RECEIVES, AND MANAGES CONTRIBUTIONS, GIFTS, GRANTS, AND BEQUESTS. FUNDS RAISED BY BAPTIST MEMORIAL HEALTH CARE FOUNDATION, INC. PLAY A KEY ROLE IN FULFILLING THE MISSION OF HEALING, PREACHING, AND TEACHING FOR THE AFFILIATES OF BAPTIST MEMORIAL HEALTH CARE CORPORATION. BAPTIST MEMORIAL HEALTH CARE FOUNDATION, INC. ADMINISTERS CONTRIBUTED DOLLARS THROUGH NUMEROUS DONOR RESTRICTED FUNDS WHICH SUPPORT THE CONTINUUM OF CARE OFFERED BY BAPTIST MEMORIAL HEALTH CARE CORPORATION FACILITIES INCLUDING ONCOLOGY, CARDIOVASCULAR, PEDIATRIC, AND REHABILITATIVE SERVICES, JUST TO NAME A FEW. BAPTIST MEMORIAL HEALTH CARE FOUNDATION, INC. ALSO ALLOCATES A PORTION OF UNRESTRICTED CONTRIBUTED DOLLARS AND PORTFOLIO EARNINGS FOR THE BENEFIT OF ITS VARIOUS GRANT PROGRAMS.BOARD OF DIRECTORS GRANT PROGRAM BAPTIST MEMORIAL HEALTH CARE FOUNDATION, INC.'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS GRANT PROGRAM HAS MADE AVAILABLE THE NECESSARY FUNDS TO EXPAND EXISTING SERVICES AND PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE SYSTEM CREATING A NUMBER OF NEW AND EXCITING INITIATIVES. THE FUNDS MADE AVAILABLE FOR THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS GRANT PROGRAM HAVE COME THROUGH UNRESTRICTED CONTRIBUTIONS, AS WELL AS, CAREFUL INVESTMENT OF THE BAPTIST MEMORIAL HEALTH CARE FOUNDATION, INC.'S ENDOWMENT.THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS RECEIVED NEW FUNDING DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED SEPTEMBER 30, 2023:ADVANCEMENTS IN AI FOR NODULE DETECTION: THIS GRANT WILL IDENTIFY AND IMPLEMENT ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TOOLS THAT WILL WORK SEAMLESSLY WITH CURRENT CANCER DETECTION PROCEDURES AT BAPTIST CANCER CENTER LOCATIONS TO INCREASE THE DETECTION OF NODULES IN EARLY STAGES AT VARIOUS DISEASE SITES. REIMAGINING PATIENT CARE-VIRTUAL SUPPORT RN CARE DELIVERY MODEL: THIS GRANT WILL DEVELOP AND PILOT A UNIT-LEVEL EMBEDDED VIRTUAL SUPPORT NURSE CARE DELIVERY MODEL AT BAPTIST MEMORIAL HOSPITAL-MEMPHIS. EXPANSION OF PEDIATRIC SERVICES: THIS GRANT WILL EXPEDITIOUSLY SERVE MORE PEDIATRIC PATIENTS AND CLOSE THE EXISTING COMMUNITY GAP IN KEY PEDIATRIC SERVICES INCLUDING ENT, ORTHOPEDIC PROCEDURES AND SWALLOW STUDIES. GRANT FUNDS WILL BE USED TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT AND CREATE A NEW OPERATING ROOM AT SPENCE AND BECKY WILSON BAPTIST CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL.BURN AND HAND AT MISSISSIPPI BAPTIST MEDICAL CENTER, INC.: THIS GRANT WILL PROVIDE EQUIPMENT FOR THE NEW BURN AND HAND PROGRAM AT MISSISSIPPI BAPTIST MEDICAL CENTER, INC. TO ASSIST WITH ACCREDITATION AS MISSISSIPPI'S BURN CENTER. OFFICER GRANTSBAPTIST MEMORIAL HEALTH CARE FOUNDATION, INC.'S OFFICER GRANT PROGRAM ALLOWS OFFICERS AND BOARD MEMBERS OF BAPTIST MEMORIAL HEALTH CARE FOUNDATION, INC. TO FACILITATE SMALLER GRANT REQUESTS ($100,000 AND LESS) WITH A HEALTH-RELATED FOCUS. SOME OF THE INITIATIVES AND ORGANIZATIONS ASSISTED THROUGH THESE GRANT PROGRAMS INCLUDE:SUPPORT FOR COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROJECTS TO INCLUDE EXPANSION OF FREE GRIEF SERVICES AT MILLA'S HOUSE AND THE GRIEF CENTER IN COLLIERVILLE, TENNESSEE, ROOM AND BOARD COSTS FOR INDIGENT PATIENTS AT THE HOSPICE HOUSE, CANCER PATIENT ASSISTANCE EVENTS IN MEMPHIS, OXFORD AND JONESBORO; AND THE BIG BLUE MOBILE CLINIC WHICH PROVIDES FREE AND REDUCED COST HEALTH CARE SERVICES TO RESIDENTS OF NORTHEAST ARKANSAS AND MEETING THE NEEDS OF THE UNDERSERVED. DONOR-RESTRICTED FUNDSBAPTIST MEMORIAL HEALTH CARE FOUNDATION, INC. ADMINISTERS A NUMBER OF DONOR-RESTRICTED FUNDS WHICH PROVIDE BENEFITS TO PATIENTS OF THE AFFILIATE HOSPITALS AS WELL AS THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE. BAPTIST MEMORIAL HEALTH CARE FOUNDATION, INC.
