THE MOUNTAIN IS AN EXEMPLARY RETREAT, CAMP AND LEARNING CENTER THAT CELEBRATES UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST PRINCIPLES, INSPIRES PEOPLE OF ALL AGES, TRANSFORMS LIVES, AND BUILDS A MORE COMPASSIONATE WORLD.

THE MOUNTAIN RETREAT & LEARNING CENTER OFFERS PROGRAMMING AND HOSPITALITY SERVICES TO FAMILIES, INDIVIDUALS, YOUTH AND COMPATIBLE ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. IN 2021, THE MOUNTAIN RETREAT & LEARNING CENTER HOSTED OVER 1,500 GUESTS OF ALL AGES FOR APPROXIMATELY 49 PROGRAMS OR EVENTS. OUR SUMMER MOUNTAIN CAMP AND YOUTH PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN ENRICHING THE LIVES OF CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES FOR NEARLY FORTY YEARS. MOST OF THE OTHER PROGRAMS OFFERED BY THE MOUNTAIN OR THE GROUPS AND ORGANIZATIONS IT CONTRACTS WITH ARE FOCUSED ON SPIRITUAL, CULTURAL, PERSONAL, SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE. OUR FACILITIES ARE USED BY UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST CONGREGATIONS, RELIGIOUS AND SPIRITUAL GROUPS AND PROFESSIONALS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. OUR MANY HANDS PEACE FARM AND OTHER PROGRAMS FOCUS ON ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION, SUSTAINABILITY, AND HONORING THE UNIQUE ECOLOGY OF THE SURROUNDING AREA. THE MOUNTAIN PARTNERS WITH THE CASHIERS-HIGHLANDS LAND TRUST TO CARE FOR AND RESPONSIBLY MANAGE THE NATURAL RESOURCES ON LITTLE SCALY MOUNTAIN.
