SHENANDOAH COUNTY FREE CLINIC PROVIDES COMPASSIONATE HEALTH SERVICES TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES WHO OTHERWISE COULD NOT AFFORD THEM. THE COUNTY IS A HEALTH PROFESSIONAL SHORTAGE AREA AND THE CLINIC PROVIDED MEDICAL, DENTAL AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES TO ITS MAIN SITE AND AREA SCHOOL CAMPUSES. PATIENTS WERE HELPED TO MANAGE LIFE-THREATENING CHRONIC DISEASES. THANKS TO CHARITY ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS FROM PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES AND HOSPITALS, ALONG WITH EFFORTS BY VOLUNTEERS AND EMPLOYEES, THE VALUE OF ALL SERVICES PROVIDED IS OVER 2 MILLION.
SHENANDOAH COUNTY FREE CLINIC HELPS TO SUBSIDIZE IT PARTNER AGENCY, SHENANDOAH DENTAL CLINIC, WHICH PROVIDES ORAL HEALTH SERVICES TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES. IN 2023, SHENANDOAH COUNTY FREE CLINIC DID NOT CHARGE THE DENTAL CLINIC FOR OVER 57 THOUSAND IN SHARED PAYROLL EXPENSES.
