THE JOHN MARSHALL FOUNDATION ENGAGES THE PUBLIC AT THE CROSSROADS OF OUR CONSTITUTION, OUR CLASSROOMS, AND OUR COURTS, PROVIDING CIVICS AND CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAMS ABOUT THE RULE OF LAW, THE INDEPENDENT JUDICIARY, AND OUR NATION'S CONSTITUTIONAL FOUNDING, EQUIPPING STUDENTS OF ALL AGES WITH THE TOOLS OF CIVIC ENGAGEMENT AND CIVIL DISCOURSE. PUBLIC AWARENESS PROGRAMS INCLUDE ANNUAL TEACHER AWARDS, CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION, MARSHALL-RELATED LECTURES AND THE "KING OF CRIMES", A PLAY AND FILM ABOUT AARON BURR'S TREASON TRIAL IN JOHN MARSHALL'S COURT.
THE JOHN MARSHALL FOUNDATION'S SIGNATURE CIVICS EDUCATION PROGRAM IS "JUSTICE IN THE CLASSROOM" A SERIES OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO ENHANCE THE TEACHING OF CIVICS, HISTORY, AND GOVERNMENT FOR OUR NATION'AS CHILDREN AND PEOPLE EVERYWHERE.
