TO PROVIDE SOCIAL, ATHLETIC AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES TO THE RIVERSIDE GARDENS COMMUNITY.

Part 3 - Line 4a
POOL OPERATIONS:RGSTC PROVIDES A POOL AND RECREATIONAL FACILITY FOR UP TO 275 MEMBERS (FAMILIES) IN THE RIVERSIDE GARDENS AREA OF ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINA. THE FACILITIES ARE ON A 2.57 ACRE LOT AND INCLUDE 2 TENNIS COURTS, A CLUB HOUSE, A VOLLEYBALL/PLAY AREA IN ADDITION TO THE 25 METER POOL AND BABY POOL.
SWIM TEAM AND LESSONS:APPROXIMATELY 170 YOUTHS PARTICIPATE IN THE SWIM TEAM PROGRAM OFFERED AT RGSTC. PARTICIPANTS ARE NOT SELECTED. CHILDREN OF MEMBERS ARE ELIGIBLE ONCE THEY HAVE MASTERED BASIC SWIMMING SKILLS. GROUP AND PRIVATE LESSONS ARE AVAILABLE TO ALL MEMBERS BY THE LIFEGUARDS. ALTHOUGH THE LESSONS TAKE PLACE AT THE POOL, THE TIME, COST AND OTHER DETAILS OF THE LESSONS ARE SOLELY BETWEEN THE POOL MANAGEMENT COMPANY AND THE MEMBER. SWIM COACHES ALSO OFFER SIMILAR LESSONS.
TENNIS OPERATIONS:THE CLUB MAINTAINS TWO TENNIS COURTS. THE COURTS ARE FOR ALL MEMBERS. MEMBERS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 8-17 CAN JOIN THE JUNIOR TENNIS TEAM. ADULTS CAN JOIN THE MEN'S OR WOMEN'S TEAMS. TENNIS CLINICS ARE OFFERED FOR CHILDREN BETWEEN THE AGES OF 5 AND 10. PRIVATE LESSONS ARE OFFERED FOR ALL AGE GROUPS AND VARIOUS SKILL LEVELS AND ARE BETWEEN THE MEMBER AND THE COACHES.
