OUR MISSION IS TO SUPPORT AN EQUITABLE PROSPEROUS BALTIMORE, BUILDING COMMUNITY HEALTH AND WEALTH FOR CITIZENS OF THE WORLD WHO CALL BALTIMORE HOME. ALWAYS INSPIRED BY OUR ITALIAN CULTURE, WE DO SO BY EMPOWERING FAMILIES THROUGH THE ARTS, BUILDING COMMUNITY ACCESS TO AFFORDABLE QUALITY FOOD, PROVIDING FOOD EDUCATION, PROMOTING FOOD JUSTICE, CREATING INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE OPPORTUNITIES, TRAINING, AND JOBS FOR YOUNG ADULTS.

BE A CHEF FOR A DAY (BACFAD BEAT), IS A YOUTH-CENTRIC AND SKILLS-CENTERED DYNAMIC FOOD INITIATIVE THAT OPERATES IN THE GREATER BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON AREA IN MARYLAND AND PROVIDES MEALS, NUTRITIONAL EDUCATION, LIFE, AND CULINARY SKILLS, AND TRAINING TO YOUTH AND THEIR FAMILIES. DURING COVID-19 IT ALSO GREW TO BECOME A COMMUNITY KITCHEN, PRODUCING AND DISTRIBUTING DAILY HOT MEALS THROUGHOUT THE BALTIMORE METROPOLITAN AREA. THE ULTIMATE GOAL IS TO PULL OUR COMMUNITY OUT OF HUNGER AND ADDRESS POOR NUTRITION-RELATED DISEASES, HOUSEHOLD INSTABILITY DUE TO FINANCIAL STRUGGLES, AND FOOD INSECURITY.


B-MORE BOUNTY BOXES:FRUIT, VEGETABLES, MILK, MEAT, CHEESE, TUNA, QUALITY PANTRY ITEMS, FRESH EGGS, AND MEALS MADE FROM SCRATCH IN OUR KITCHEN ON YORK ROAD. BOX ITEMS ARE PERSONALIZED. THIS WEEKLY SERVICE COMES WITH AT-HOME DELIVERY, AND IT IS:1)FREE FOR FAMILIES THAT CANNOT AFFORD TO PAY 2) AVAILABLE FOR EBT PURCHASE 3) AVAILABLE FOR AGENCIES AND CHURCHES LOOKING TO PROVIDE A COMPREHENSIVE SERVICE TO THEIR PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS.


B-MORE PASTA:A BALTIMORE FOOD SOCIAL ENTERPRISE SINCE SEPTEMBER 2020, OUR NONPROFIT HAS BEEN WORKING ON CREATING A SOCIAL ENTERPRISE THAT WOULD PROVIDE JOB TRAINING AND JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR COMMUNITY YOUTH AND TO SUPPORT OUR BE A CHEF FOR A DAY PROGRAM WHILE CRAFTING SOMETHING SPECIAL. PASTA IS SOMETHING WE ALL FELL IN LOVE WITH. THOUSANDS OF YEARS OF TRADITIONS TO RECREATE A SIMPLE ACT OF FLOUR AND WATER AND TO SHAPE IT INTO A WORK OF CULINARY ART.
