SUBURBAN HOSPITAL FOUNDATION PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR SUBURBAN HOSPITAL'S EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS PLAN. HOSPITALS PLAY A CRITICAL ROLE IN PROVIDING COMMUNITIES WITH ESSENTIAL MEDICAL CARE DURING ALL TYPES OF DISASTER. DEPENDING ON THEIR SCOPE AND NATURE, DISASTERS CAN LEAD TO A RAPIDLY INCREASING SERVICE DEMAND THAT CAN OVERWHELM THE FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY AND SAFETY OF HOSPITALS AND THE HEALTH-CARE SYSTEM AT LARGE. DISASTER GRANT FUNDS ARE UTILIZED TO SUPPORT THE "ALL HAZARDS" EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS PLANNING PARADIGM FOR HOSPITALS.
SUBURBAN HOSPITAL FOUNDATION PROVIDES FUNDING FOR THE CASEY RN SCHOLARSHIP FOR NURSING EXCELLENCE PROGRAM. THE INTEREST EARNED FROM THE CORPUS OF THE EUGENE B. CASEY ENDOWMENT FUND SHALL BE USED TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS TO SUPPORT THE UNDERGRADUATE TUITION OF STUDENTS PURSUING DEGRESS IN NURSING; AND TO PROVIDE GRANTS TO SUPPORT THE TUITION OF EXISTING NURSES AND OTHER KEY CAREGIVERS SEEKING GRADUATE DEGREES IN NURSING, AND OTHER ADVANCED TRAINING DEEMED VITAL TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF PATIENT CARE AND THE RETENTION OF OUTSTANDING CAREGIVERS AT SUBURBAN HOSPITAL, INC.
SUBURBAN HOSPITAL FOUNDATION PROVIDES FUNDING FOR THE NURSING EXCELLENCE FUND IN COLLABORATION WITH SUBURBAN HOSPITAL, INC. THIS PROGRAMS IS USED TO PROMOTE EFFECTIVE NURSING INTERVENTIONS, EFFICIENT CARE, AND IMPROVED OUTCOMES FOR PATIENTS, AND TO PROVIDE THE BEST AVAILABLE EVIDENCE FOR CLINICAL, ADMINISTRATIVE, AND EDUCATIONAL DECISION MAKING.
