Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3

IN JUNE OF 2023, WE HOSTED OUR EIGHTH YEAR OF GXRLS ROCK! SAN DIEGO SUMMER CAMP FOR 39 YOUTH (AGES 8-17) AT AN ARTS CENTER IN NATIONAL CITY. OUR YOUTH RECEIVED INSTRUMENT INSTRUCTION (DRUMS, BASS GUITAR, ELECTRIC GUITAR, KEYBOARD AND VOCALS) AND PARTICIPATED IN EIGHT EMPOWERMENT WORKSHOPS LED BY FEMALE OR NON-BINARY INSTRUCTORS. OUR FINALE SHOWCASE EVENT, FOR 200 AUDIENCE MEMBERS AT THE MUSIC BOX, ALLOWED OUR YOUTH TO PERFORM THEIR ORIGINAL SONGS WRITTEN AT CAMP WHILE SHARING THE STAGE WITH THEIR NEW BAND. WE CONTINUED TO PARTNER WITH ORGANIZATIONS THAT SHARE OUR VISION FOR YOUTH SUCCESS BY COLLABORATING AND PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS TO EXPAND OUR REACH AND DIVERSIFY BOTH OUR TEAM AND YOUTH.
