THE MISSION OF ARTS & CULTURAL ALLIANCE OF FREEPORT (ACAF) IS TO CULTIVATE GREATER FREEPORT AS A VIBRANT CENTER FOR ARTS AND CULTURE BY FOSTERING CREATIVE COLLABORATION, EXPANDING ACCESS TO ARTS AND CULTURAL ASSETS, AND AMPLIFYING THE ARTS AND CULTURE AS POWERFUL TOOLS TO CREATE, STRENGTHEN, AND CONNECT COMMUNITY.

COMPLETED RENOVATIONS AND OPENED THE MAIN FLOOR OF FIRST PARISH CHURCH, FREEPORT, INTO A VISUAL ARTS GALLERY, MEETINGHOUSE ARTS GALLERY, AND PERFORMING ARTS CENTER, MEETINGHOUSE ARTS STAGE, FOR PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNITY USE. THE CHURCH REMAINS ACTIVE HOLDING ITS REGULAR SERVICES. THE RENOVATED SANCTUARY HAS 180 SEATS AND SIZABLE STAGE AREA FOR PERFORMANCES AND LECTURES.
PRESENTED OR HOSTED A VARIETY OF PERFORMING ARTISTS AND GROUPS (MUSIC OF SEVERAL GENRES, DANCE, STORYTELLING, THEATER COMPANIES, COMEDY IMPROV, A SPEAKER SERIES, COMMUNITY-SPECIFIC EVENTS AND MEETINGS, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS. OFFERED FREE, ON-GOING REHEARSAL SPACE TO A YOUTH JAZZ ENSEMBLE, ELDER FOLK MUSICIANS, AND A LOCAL THEATER COMPANY. BEGAN A CHILDREN'S READING SERIES THAT CONTINUES.
PRESENTED FOUR VISUAL ARTS EXHIBITIONS WHICH ENGAGED MORE THAN 170 PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS AND SCULPTORS.
