HOPEAUSTIN IS A VOLUNTEER BASED, LOCAL 501(C)(3) CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION AIMED AT SECURING BASIC LIFE SUSTAINING NEEDS TO THE YOUNGEST MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY. WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS, HOPEAUSTIN WORKS TO ELIMINATE CHILDHOOD HUNGER ONE MEAL AND ONE CHILD AT A TIME. HOPEAUSTIN PROVIDES WEEKEND MEALS TO LOCAL STUDENTS WHO EXPERIENCE FOOD INSECURITY WHILE AWAY FROM THEIR FREE/REDUCED MEAL PROGRAMS OFFERED BY LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICTS.

IN ADDITION, WE OPERATE FOOD PANTRIES AT SEVERAL MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOLS. FOOD PANTRIES PROVIDE FOR AUTONOMY OF CHOICE WHICH IS SOMETHING MANY OF OUR STUDENTS DO NOT EXPERIENCE ON A REGULAR BASIS.
