CIRCLES IN COMMUNITIES & WORKPLACES IN 2022, TRC HELD MORE THAN 100 RESTORATIVE JUSTICE CIRCLES FOR ORGANIZATIONS, COMMUNITY MEMBERS, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND SCHOOLS AND FOR A PUBLIC NATIONAL DISCOURSE OF HISTORICAL TRUTH TELLING. DRAWING UPON A DEEP RESEVOIR OF REAL-WORLD EXPERIENCE AND MODELS FROM AROUND THE WORLD. TRC DEVELOPS AND CODIFIES UNIQUE,TEACHABLE, AND FLEXIBLE STRUCTURES OF RESTORATIVE JUSTICE CIRCLES. OUR WORK BENEFITS RESTORATIVE JUSTICE FOR INCARCERATION, COMMUNITY DYSFUNCTION AND RESILIENCE,REIMAGINING SCHOOL CONFLICT,AND WORKPLACE FORUMS FOR ISSUES INCLUDING RACE RELATIONS AND SEXUAL HARASSMENT. TRAINING IN RESTORATIVE JUSTICE - FOR FEE OR AT NO COST IN 2022,TRC TRAINED MORE THAN 150 PEOPLE IN RESTORATIVE JUSTICE. TRC DIRECTS ACADEMIC WORK AND TRAINING TO ADVANCE DEEPER ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT OF RESTORATIVE JUSTICE AND THE MANNERS IN WHICH THE POTENTIAL OF RESTORATIVE JUSTICE CAN BE MANIFEST,INTEGRATING RESTORATIVE JUSTICE MODELS FROM ACROSS THE GLOBE AND SPIRITUAL TRADITIONS OF COMMUNITY BUILDING, HOLDING SPACE, AND TRANSFORMATION. WE ARE COMMITTED TO OFFERING TRAINING TO ALL INDIVIDUALS AND PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO THOSE WHO NEED IT. TRC LEADS TRAININGS FOR INDIVIDUALS, GROUPS,WORKPLACES AND ATTORNEYS, WITH A ROBUST TRAINING CURRICULUM. WE UTILIZE THEORY-BASED LECTURES, THE INTERACTIVE CIRCLE EXPERIENCE, SKILL DEVELOPMENT, MOCK CIRCLES, AS WELL AS SMALL AND LARGE GROUP DISCUSSION, WITH FOCUS ON OUR CIRCLE KEEPER CODE OF CONDUCT.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH & THE FORMERLY INCARCERATED IN 2022, TRC WORKED WITH YOUNG PEOPLE IN SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITY CENTERS TO EXPAND THE REACH OF RESTORATIVE JUSTICE. TRC BEGAN PROGRAMS FOR THE FORMER INCARCERATED TO PARTICIPATE IN RESTORATIVE JUSTICE PROCESSES UPON COMING HOME. ALSO, THE PROGRESSIVE POSSIBILITIES OF WORKING WITH YOUNG ADULTS TO EXPAND THE AVAILABILITY OF COMMUNITY CIRCLES AND THE REACH OF RESTORATIVE JUSTICE. TRC FACILITATES MULTIPLE DAYS OF FOUNDATIONAL TRAINING WORKSHOPS FOR TEEN VOLUNTEERS. THIS PROVIDES THE FUNDAMENTAL COMPONENTS OF FACILITATING COMMUNITY CIRCLES TO DEVELOP THE SKILLS TO FACILITATE CIRCLES SO THAT TEENS CAN BE LEADERS IN GRASSROOTS MOVEMENTS OF RESTORATIVE JUSTICE. WE ARE COMMITTED TO HOLDING SPACE THROUGH OUR WORK FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND THE FORMERLY INCARCERATED,AND DEVELOPED PROGRAMS FOR THOSE RETURNING HOME.
