THE WILLIAMSPORT YOUNG PROFESSIONALS PROGRAM EDUCATES YOUNG PROFESSIONALS ABOUT THEIR COMMUNITY AND MOTIVATES THEM TO BECOME ACTIVE IN THEIR COMMUNITY.
THE TECHNOLOGY FUTURES OF NORTH CENTRAL PA (TECH FUTURES) IS UNITED UNDER A SHARED VISION FOR TECHNOLOGY ADVANCEMENT AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. ITS FOCUS IS TO BRING TOGETHER COMPANIES, GOVERNMENT, EDUCATORS, STUDENTS, AND PARENTS WHO HAVE A VITAL INTEREST IN KNOWING ABOUT TECHNOLOGY INNOVATIONS IN THE REGION AS WELL AS BUSINESS AND CAREER OPPORTUNITIES. THE GUIDING PRINCIPLES ARE INNOVATION, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, MENTORING, COLLABORATIVE EFFORTS, RECOGNITION, AND EDUCATION.
DURING 2020, WLCC, ECGC AND IPC, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LYCOMING COUNTY AND THE FIRST COMMUNITY FOUNDATION PARTNERSHIP OF PENNSYLVANIA (FCFP), ESTABLISHED A GRANT AND LOAN PROGRAM TO ASSIST FORPROFIT SMALL BUSINESSES WITH ANNUAL REVENUES NOT EXCEEDING $3,000,000 THAT WERE SEVERELY IMPACTED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. THE PROGRAM MONIES WERE MADE AVAILABLE IN A COMBINATION OF GRANTS AND LOANS.
