EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS - CLASSES ARE TAUGHT BY NATIVE SPANISH-SPEAKING TEACHERS AND REGISTRATION COSTS $35. CLASSES MEET FOR APPROXIMATELY FIVE HOURS EACH WEEK FOR NINE MONTHS. CLASSES FOLLOW THE SPANISH LITERACY CURRICULUM DEVELOPED BY THE MEXICAN NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR ADULT EDUCATION (INEA). INEA ALLOWS MEXICAN COALITION TO USE THE CURRICULUM FREE OF CHARGE. THE CURRICULUM COVERS TOPICS ON SCIENCE, MATH, AND LITERACY (READING AND WRITING), HISTORY/SOCIAL STUDIES. THE MEXICAN COALITION TEACHER WILL ADMINISTER EXAMS THROUGH THE INEA WEBSITE AND STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION FROM THE INEA WHEN THEY PASS THE EXAMS.
