(MCHS) WAS INCORPORATED IN OCTOBER 2012 AS PART OF A PROSPECTIVE REORGANIZATION OF MARSHFIELD CLINIC AND ITS AFFILIATED ENTITIES INTO AN INTEGRATED HEALTHCARE SYSTEM. THE REORGANIZATION WAS IMPLEMENTED UPON RECEIPT OF AN INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE (IRS) DETERMINATION LETTER RECOGNIZING MCHS AS A TAX-EXEMPT ORGANIZATION DESCRIBED IN INTERNAL REVENUE CODE SECTION 501(C)(3) IN 2014. MCHS AS A STANDALONE ENTITY HOUSES CERTAIN ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS THAT SUPPORT THE SYSTEM AS A WHOLE.
