CROSSROADS' MISSION IS TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF VULNERABLE CHILDREN IN HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FLORIDA. WHEN THEY GET INTO DIFFICULT SITUATIONS THAT COULD EASILY LEAD TO LONG-TERM NEGATIVE OUTCOMES, OUR PRO BONO ATTORNEYS MEET THEIR YOUNG CLIENTS AT THESE CROSSROADS IN THEIR LIVES AND, THROUGH COUNSELING AND ADVOCACY, HELP THEM TO PERSERVERE AND SUCCEED.

TRAINING AND MENTORING ATTORNEYS IN REPRESENTING CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE IN CIVIL LEGAL PROCEEDINGS. TO DATE, WE HAVE TRAINED AND MENTORED WELL OVER 150 ATTORNEYS.
SINCE CROSSROADS' FOUNDING IN 2012 TO THE END OF 2021, OUR PRO BONO ATTORNEYS HAVE REPRESENTED 191 CHILDREN IN DEPENDENCY PROCEEDINGS, 126 CHILDREN IN DELINQUENCY PROCEEDINGS, 30 CHILDREN/YOUNG ADULTS IN CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS, AND 14 ADDITIONAL CHILDREN/YOUNG ADULTS IN CIVIL PROCEEDINGS. IN 2021, 79 CROSSROADS' ATTORNEYS COLLECTIVELY CONTRIBUTED 4,231 PRO BONO HOURS.
