THE CERTIFIED UTILITY SAFETY PROFESSIONAL CUSP CERTIFICATION PROGRAM IS THE ONLY PROGRAM OFFERING UTILITY-SPECIFIC SAFETY LEADERSHIP CREDENTIALS TO MEET THE UNIQUE REQUIREMENTS OF UTILITIES AND RELATED CONTRACTORS. THE CUSP CREDENTIAL IS ONLY AWARDED TO THOSE WHO MEET THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS, WHOSE APPLICATION IS APPROVED BY THE REVIEW COMMITTEE AND WHO PASS THE CUSP EXAM. THERE IS AN EXPECTATION THAT UTILITY SAFETY LEADERS TAKING THIS EXAM HAVE A SOLID UNDERSTANDING IN THE CORE SUBJECT AREAS OF STANDARDS, HAZARD ID, INCIDENT PREVENTION, LEADERSHIP SKILLS, HUMAN PERFORMANCE AND OPERATIONS.
