THE ACADEMY FOR TEACHERS BRINGS TOGETHER TEACHERS WITH LUMINARIES, EXPERTS, AND ARTISTS TO CREATE A SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY OF INSPIRED EDUCATORS. OUR MISSION IS TO HONOR AND SUPPORT TEACHERS THROUGH WORLD-CLASS LEARNING EXPERIENCES THAT INSPIRE THEM TO CONTINUE CHANGING LIVES, IN THE CLASSROOM AND BEYOND.

MASTER CLASSES: LED BY EXPERTS FROM ALL ARENAS, OUR INTIMATE MASTER CLASSES PROVIDE TEACHERS WITH THRILLING NEW IDEAS, BETTER TEACHING STRATEGIES, AND RENEWED EXCITEMENT FOR THEIR WORK WITH STUDENTS. IN A MASTER CLASS, INTIMATE GROUPS OF TEACHERS LEARN FROM A LEADING EXPERT AND FROM EACH OTHER, SHARING THEIR BEST LESSONS, RESOURCES, AND WISDOM ACROSS ALL SUBJECT AREAS.
SPECIAL EVENTS: TEACHING CAN BE A LONELY PROFESSION. WE BRING TEACHERS TOGETHER FOR INTELLECTUAL, CULTURAL, AND JUST PLAIN FUN EVENTS. PASSIONATE TEACHERS ATTEND LECTURES, PERFORMANCES, AND WORKSHOPS TOGETHER. THEY JOIN OUR BOOK AND CREATIVE WRITING GROUPS. THEY PLAY ON OUR SOFTBALL TEAM AND SING IN OUR CHORUS.
CHAPBOOKS & PRIZES AND FELLOWSHIPS: GRANTS ARE AVAILABLE TO FELLOWS OF THE ACADEMY FOR TEACHERS. THEY INCLUDE FULL SCHOLARSHIPS TO THE BREAD LOAF SCHOOL OF ENGLISH AT MIDDLEBURY COLLEGE AND THE DON QUIXOTE FELLOWSHIP.
