WHERE HATE SPEECH AND PROPAGANDA PROLIFERATE, AND JOURNALISTS AND CIVIC ACTIVISTS ARE UNDER ATTACK, IWPR PROMOTES RELIABLE INFORMATION AND PUBLIC DEBATE THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE. BY HELPING LOCAL VOICES TO BE HEARD, IWPR BUILDS PEACE, IMPROVES GOVERNANCE AND ADVANCES HUMAN RIGHTS. IWPR MAINTAINS EXTENSIVE LOCAL NETWORKS AND EXPERT PROGRAM TEAMS, MAKING IT UNIQUELY POSITIONED TO MOBILIZE THE POWER OF INFORMATION TO CREATE MORE STABLE, JUST AND INCLUSIVE SOCIETIES.

MENA: IWPR OPERATED PROGRAMS FOCUSING ON TRAINING, MENTORING AND PROVIDING ONGOING SUPPORT TO JOURNALISTS AND CIVIL SOCIETY ACTIVISTS WORKING IN CONFLICT ZONES. THE DIGITAL SECURITY PROGRAM HELPS ENSURE THAT REPORTERS AND ACTIVISTS ARE ABLE TO ADVANCE THEIR WORK BY USING SOCIAL MEDIA SAFELY AND BY PREVENTING OUTSIDE ACCESS TO THEIR INFORMATION, DATA OR NETWORKS BY THOSE WHO THREATEN THEM.


LAC: IWPR WORKS WITH JOURNALISTS AND CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS IN THE REGION, STRENGTHENING THEIR ABILITIES TO CONDUCT FACT-BASED REPORTING, TO PROVIDE OBJECTIVE, UNBIASED AND ACCURATE INFORMATION ABOUT DEVELOPMENTS IN THE COUNTRY AND TO WORK TOGETHER TO ESTABLISH MUTUAL SUPPORT NETWORKS.
