CURATORIAL LAUMEIER SCULPTURE PARK COMMISSIONS, COLLECTS, AND PRESERVES CONTEMPORARY ART WITH A FOCUS ON SCULPTURE THROUGHOUT ITS 105-ACRE CAMPUS. THE ART COLLECTION CONSISTS OF 69 LARGE-SCALE AND SITE-SPECIFIC SCULPTURES ON VIEW OUTDOORS, 18 SCULPTURES IN STORAGE, AND 509 WORKS IN OTHER MEDIA, INCLUDING PRINTS, DRAWINGS, COLLAGES, PHOTOGRAPHS, NEW MEDIA AND MAQUETTES. THESE WORKS ARE PRESERVED FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS THROUGH CARE, MAINTENANCE AND CONSERVATION EFFORTS. ADDITIONALLY, LAUMEIER PRESENTS TEMPORARY, ROTATING SPECIAL PROJECTS AND EXHIBITIONS, BOTH INDOORS AND OUTDOORS. THE CURATION OF PROJECTS AND EXHIBITIONS IS(SEE SCHEDULE O)DRIVEN BY THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION OF "ENGAGING THE COMMUNITY THROUGH ART AND NATURE". LAUMEIER'S EXHIBITION PROGRAM SUPPORTS THE WORK OF EMERGING, MID-CAREER AND ESTABLISHED ARTISTS WHO ARE BASED LOCALLY, NATIONALLY, AND INTERNATIONALLY.
PUBLIC PROGRAMSLAUMEIER SCULPTURE PARK IS AN ACCREDITED MUSEUM AND PUBLIC PARK. THE INSTITUTION PROVIDES A BROAD SPECTRUM OF CULTURALLY ENRICHING ACTIVITIES FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND GUESTS FROM AROUND THE GLOBE TO ENJOY EACH YEAR.
