A FIRST RESPONDER IN TIMES OF DISASTER, OPERATION BLESSING DISASTER RELIEF SERVICES, INC. (OBDRS) HAS SUPPORTED OPERATION BLESSING INTERNATIONAL RELIEF AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (OBI). (CONTINUED ON SCH. O)DURING FY22, OPERATION BLESSING'S DOMESTIC DISASTER RELIEF TEAM RESPONDED TO FIVE U.S. DISASTERS. WE ASSISTED VICTIMS OF FLOODS IN TENNESSEE, LOUISIANA AND TEXAS AND TORNADOS IN KENTUCKY AND THE GULF STATES. IN ADDITION, WE PROVIDED ONGOING EFFORTS TO HELP RESIDENTS OF PANAMA CITY, FLORIDA FOLLOWING HURRICANE MICHAEL. WORKING WITH ASSORTED PARTNERS AND DOZENS OF VOLUNTEERS, THE TEAM RESTORED THE HOME OF A LOCAL, ELDERLY MILITARY VETERAN WHO SERVED IN BOTH THE US. ARMY AND NAVY. THIS INCLUDED REMOVING WATER-DAMAGED MATERIALS, CONDUCTING MOLD REMEDIATION, INSTALLING NEW INSULATION, SHEETROCK, FLOORING, CABINETRY, DOORS AND WELL AS PAINTING AND PROVIDING NEW FURNITURE.
