ALTHOUGH THE ORGANIZATION IS NOT A HOSPICE, IT PROVIDES SERVICES TO JEWISH PEOPLE THAT ARE GOING THROUGH HOSPICE AND PALLIATIVE CARE. IN 2021, NEARLY 513 PATIENTS WERE SERVED DIRECTLY, IN ADDITION TO THOUSANDS OF THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS. THE ORGANIZATION CONDUCTS SEMINARS ON HOSPICE AND PALLIATIVE CARE ISSUES WHICH INVOLVE A COALITION OF OVER 70 ORGANIZATIONS WITH ATTENDANCE EXCEEDING 850 PROFESSIONALS. THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE IS LOCATED IN THE DETROIT AREA AND DRAWS PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY REPRESENTING DIVERSE RELIGIOUS DENOMINATIONS AND EDUCATES PEOPLE REGARDING CAREGIVING, PAIN MANAGEMENT, AND LOSS. TO DATE, THE ORGANIZATION HAS SERVED MORE THAN 10,000 PATIENTS. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES EMERGENCY INTERVENTION FOR DISTRESSED FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS. IT ALSO OFFERS EDUCATION TO HOSPITALS, HOSPICES, AND SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES ABOUT PROVIDING THE BEST CARE POSSIBLE FOR THEIR JEWISH PATIENTS.
