THIS ORGANIZATION WAS ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE TELEPHONE RELAY ACCESS SERVICE TO HEARING AND SPEECH IMPAIRED PERSONS RESIDING IN INDIANA. AN AVERAGE OF MORE THAN 14,500 CALLS WERE MADE EACH MONTH.
WITHIN THE SCOPE OF OUR PURPOSE, TO PROVIDE TELEPHONE RELAY ACCESS SERVICE TO HEARING AND SPEECH IMPAIRED PEOPLE IN INDIANA, WE DEVELOPED AN EQUIPMENT LOAN PROGRAM TO LOWER INCOME HOUSEHOLDS.
INTRAC HAS CREATED A GRANT PROGRAM DESIGNED TO SUPPORT INDIANA-BASED NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, PREFERABLY ORGANIZATIONS RECOGNIZED AS 501(C)(3) CHARITIES UNDER THE US INTERNAL REVENUE CODE AS WELL AS INITIATIVES SPONSORED BY DEAF-OWNED FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.
