OUR VOLUNTEER-DELIVERED, EXPERIENTIAL PROGRAMS GIVE STUDENTS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN FINANCIAL LITERACY, WORK READINESS AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP. JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT HELPS TO ENHANCE THE RELEVANCE OF STUDENTS' CLASSROOM LEARNING AND INCREASE THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF THE VALUE OF STAYING IN SCHOOL.

JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT'S ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PROGRAMS ARE THE FOUNDATION OF ITS K-12 CURRICULA. SEVEN SEQUENTIAL THEMES, EACH WITH FIVE HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES WORK TO CHANGE STUDENTS' LIVES BY HELPING THEM UNDERSTAND BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE: JA OURSELVES, JA OUR FAMILIES, JA OUR COMMUNITY, JA OUR CITY, JA OUR REGION, JA OUR NATION, AND JA MORE THAN MONEY. THERE WERE 394 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CLASSES CONDUCTED DURING FISCAL YEAR 19-20.


MIDDLE GRADE PROGRAMS BUILD ON CONCEPTS WHICH STUDENTS LEARNED IN JA'S ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PROGRAMS AND HELP TEENS MAKE DIFFICULT DECISIONS ABOUT HOW BEST TO PREPARE FOR THEIR EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL FUTURE. THE PROGRAMS SUPPLEMENT STANDARD SOCIAL STUDIES CURRICULA AND DEVELOP COMMUNICATION SKILLS THAT ARE ESSENTIAL TO SUCCESS IN THE BUSINESS WORLD. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE: JA GLOBAL MARKETPLACE, JA ECONOMICS FOR SUCCESS, JA IT'S MY FUTURE AND JA IT'S MY BUSINESS. THERE WERE 140 MIDDLE GRADE CLASSES CONDUCTED DURING FISCAL YEAR 19-20.
