PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO MEMBERS AND COMMITTED TO THE STUDY AND APPLICATION OF INTEGRATIVE AND COMPLEMENTARY THERAPIES FOR CANCER PATIENTS. IT PROVIDES A CONVENIENT FORUM FOR PRESENTATION, DISCUSSION AND PEER REVIEW OF EVIDENCE BASED RESEARCH AND TREATMENT.

SIO HAS CONTINUED TO BUILD STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS, INCLUDING WITH TWO JOURNALS, JOURNAL OF INTEGRATIVE AND COMPLEMENTARY MEDICINE, AND THE JOURNAL ONCOLOGY, WHICH HAVE PUBLISHED SIO PAPERS AND INCREASED THE SOCIETY'S VISIBILITY IN THE FIELD OF EVIDENCE-BASED INTEGRATIVE ONCOLOGY. THE PUBLICATION OF "INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE FOR PAIN MANAGEMENT IN ONCOLOGY: SOCIETY FOR INTEGRATIVE ONCOLOGY-ASCO GUIDELINE" WAS PROMOTED INTERNATIONALLY AND WELL-RECEIVED. THE GUIDELINE HAS BEEN DOWNLOADED OVER 22,700 TIMES, AND WAS THE FOCUS OF A 2022 CONFERENCE SESSION. THE 19TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN SCOTTSDALE, AZ, WAS A SUCCESS, WITH 50,000 ALLOCATED TO CONFERENCE TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ATTENDEES FROM EACH WORLD REGION.
