TO VOLUNTARILY AID AND ASSIST NEEDY PERSONS BY SPONSORING AND CONDUCTING SOCIAL, RECREATIONAL, WELFARE AND GUIDANCE PROGRAMS TO PROMOTE THE WELFARE OF SUCH PERSONS, CATHOLIC AND NON-CATHOLIC ALIKE.

SULLIVAN COUNTY OASAS FUNDED PROGRAMS PROVIDE A CONTINUUM OF LICENSED CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY TREATMENT AND RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICES INCLUDING MEDICALLY SUPERVISED DETOX, RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT, DAY REHABILITATION, OUTPATIENT SUBSTANCE USE CLINIC, VOCATIONAL COUNSELING, AND CASE MANAGEMENT FOR INDIVIDUALS RESIDING IN THE HUD HOUSING PROGRAM. THESE PROGRAMS SERVE INDIVIDUALS WHO MAY BE COVERED BY MEDICAID MANAGED CARE OR COMMERCIAL INSURANCE, OR WHO OR NOT COVERED AND PAY PROGRAM FEES THEMSELVES. THE PREVENTION SERVICES DEPARTMENT PROVIDES COMMUNITY- BASED PREVENTION, INTERVENTION, COMMUNITY OUTREACH, COMMUNITY COALITION LEADERSHIP AND EVIDENCED-BASED CURRICULUM IN LOCAL SCHOOLS. FOR THE TWELVE MONTHS ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2022 THE CENTER PROVIDED SERVICE TO OVER 887 CLIENTS.


1) EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO ORGANIZATIONS THROUGH A CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT WHICH OFFERS A COMPREHENSIVE AND CONFIDENTIAL RESOURCE USING PROFESSIONAL CLINICIANS TO ASSIST EMPLOYEES AND THEIR FAMILIES AND OTHER ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS DEAL WITH A WIDE VARIETY OF PERSONAL AND FAMILY PROBLEMS.2) THE PARISH COUNSELING NETWORK PROVIDED COUNSELING TO OVER 432 INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES THROUGHOUT THE HUDSON VALLEY AND METROPOLITAN AREA. 48 BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP SESSIONS PROVIDED FOR THOSE WHO HAVE LOST LOVED ONES TO ADDICTION OR COVID.3) THE STATE OPIOID RESPONSE PROGRAM SUPPLEMENTED EXISTING CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY PREVENTION, TREATMENT, AND RECOVERY ACTIVITIES, AND PROVIDED COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED WHO EXPERIENCE BARRIERS IN ACCESSING A TRADITIONAL SERVICE DELIVERY MODEL.


NEW YORK STATE ORANGE COUNTY OFFICE OF ADDICTION SERVICES AND SUPPORTS (OASAS) FUNDED PROGRAMS PROVIDE MEDICALLY SUPERVISED OUTPATIENT SUBSTANCE USE TREATMENT SERVICES AT SIX MAIN CLINIC OFFICES IN ORANGE COUNTY AND ONE SATELLITE SITE LOCATION FOR ADOLESCENTS. THESE PROGRAMS SERVE INDIVIDUALS WHO MAY BE COVERED BY MEDICAID OR COMMERCIAL INSURANCE, OR WHO OR NOT COVERED AND PAY PROGRAM FEES THEMSELVES. THE PREVENTION SERVICES DEPARTMENT PROVIDES COMMUNITY- BASED PREVENTION, INTERVENTION, COMMUNITY OUTREACH, COMMUNITY COALITION LEADERSHIP AND EVIDENCED-BASED CURRICULUM IN LOCAL SCHOOLS. MORE THAN 1,044 CLIENTS WERE SERVICED IN THE CLINICS DURING THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2022.


SOCIAL SAFETY NET SERVICES INCLUDE THE HOUSING RESOURCE CENTER (HRC), THAT PROVIDES ORANGE COUNTY WITH A FAMILY FRIENDLY, CENTRALIZED RESOURCE FOR A CONTINUUM OF HOUSING SERVICES (INCLUDING EMERGENCY HOUSING ASSISTANCE, HOMELESSNESS PREVENTION AND CASE MANAGEMENT, THROUGH A WORKING COLLABORATION WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES AND COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS). DURING THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2022, 2,422 HRC CLIENTS RECEIVED ASSISTANCE. SOCIAL SAFETY NET SERVICES ALSO INCLUDE CASE MANAGEMENT, FOOD PANTRIES, AND A KIDS PANTRY. AN ADDITIONAL 2,323 CLIENTS IN ORANGE, ULSTER, & SULLIVAN COUNTIES WERE PROVIDED WITH OTHER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND OTHER CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES.
