AS ONE OF A FEW REMAINING FOREIGN NGO'S PROVIDING SOCIAL WELFARE SERVICES TO CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN CHINA, INTERNATIONAL CHINA CONCERN (ICC) IS A CHRISTIAN DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION THAT HAS BEEN PROVIDING LOVE, HOPE, AND OPPORTUNITY TO CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES IN HUNAN PROVINCE FOR NEARLY 30 YEARS. THE ORGANIZATION PARTNERS WITH ICC TO MEET CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES WHEREVER THEY ARE. OUR MAIN PROJECTS INCLUDE: 1/ THE FAMILY PARTNERS PROGRAM IS A GROUND-BREAKING PROJECT ESTABLISHED BY ICC IN CHANGSHA IN 2008. IT WORKS TO PROVIDE FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES TO HUNDREDS OF FAMILIES CARING FOR CHILDREN FOR DISABILITIES. SINCE ITS LAUNCH, WE HAVE WORKED WITH MORE THAN 600 FAMILIES, PROVIDING ACCESS TO TRAINING, COUNSELING, PARENT SUPPORT GROUPS, SPEECH, PHYSICAL AND OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY AND SPECIAL EDUCATION (PROJECT EXPENSE - $73,875). 2/ CHANGSHA CARE CENTER - ICC IS TAKING CARE OVER 70 CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS WHO LIVE IN CENTER-BASED OF COMMUNITY-BASED FAMILY-STYLE GROUP HOME. SERVICES INCLUDE 24-HOUR RESIDENTIAL CARE, MEDICAL CARE AND SURGERIES, INDIVIDUALIZED REHABILITATION AND THERAPY, SPECIAL EDUCATION AND LIFE SKILLS TRAINING (PROJECT EXPENSE - $112,056). 3/ PATHWAYS VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROJECT PROVIDES LIFE SKILLS AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING TO YOUNG ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES JOURNEYING INTO ADULTHOOD.
