"AGING AND CAREGIVER SERVICES: A TEAM OF AGENCY PROFESSIONALS IS DEDICATED TO SERVING THE UNIQUE NEEDS OF SENIORS AND FAMILY MEMBERS CARING FOR THEM. DETAILS OF OUR SERVICES FOLLOW BELOW AND ON SCHEDULE O.GERIATRIC CARE MANAGEMENT IS A FREE SERVICE THAT HELPS LOW INCOME OLDER ADULTS AGE IN SAFE, SECURE ENVIRONMENTS WITH THE BEST POSSIBLE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH, FOOD SECURITY AND FINANCIAL STABILITY. JFS CARE MANAGERS ASSESS NEED, PLAN CARE, AND IMPLEMENT CARE PLANS, TO MEET CLIENTS' HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICE NEEDS.CARELINK: A FEE-FOR-SERVICE CARE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES AGING LIFE CARE AND GERIATRIC CARE MANAGEMENT SERVICES TO ASSIST OLDER ADULTS AND THEIR LOVED ONES WITH MANAGING THE CHALLENGES OF GROWING OLDER.CENTER FOR HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS: SERVES HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS IN GREATER CINCINNATI AND DAYTON BY MANAGING RESTITUTION BENEFITS FROM THE GERMAN GOVERNMENT AND CONNECTING SURVIVORS WITH HEALTH CARE, NON-MEDICAL HOME CARE AND THERAPEUTIC SOCIALIZATION ACTIVITIES TO ADDRESS THE TRAUMA THEY HAVE FACED.SENIOR COUNSELING: SPECIALIZING IN THE NEEDS OF OLDER ADULTS, THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES ACCESS TO COUNSELORS."
STARPOINT HOME CARE NON-MEDICAL CAREGIVERS PROVIDE SERVICES TO ASSIST PEOPLE WITH AGING MORE SAFELY AND COMFORTABLY, INCLUDING ASSISTANCE WITH: BATHING, GROOMING, ERRANDS, MEAL PREPARATION AND LIGHT HOUSEKEEPING. JFS IS THE SOLE MEMBER OF STARPOINT, WHICH IS CONSIDERED A DISREGARDED ENTITY FOR TAX REPORTING PURPOSES. THIS FEE-FOR-SERVICE PROGRAM GENERATES PROCEEDS THAT ARE USED TO SUPPORT OUR MISSION.
BARBASH FAMILY VITAL SUPPORT CENTER & VITAL SERVICES: JEWISH FAMILY SERVICE HELPS PEOPLE IN POVERTY WITH EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE, RESOURCES, FINANCIAL EDUCATION AND CARE MANAGEMENT TO BECOME MORE SELF-SUFFICIENT. JFS PROVIDES SAFETY NET SERVICES FOR PEOPLE FACING HUNGER AND DEPRIVATION. JFS ALSO DISTRIBUTES FUNDS FOR RENT, MORTGAGE, UTILITIES, MEDICAL CARE, TRANSPORTATION, AND OTHER NECESSITIES. CARE MANAGERS WORK CLOSELY WITH CLIENTS TO ENSURE THEY RECEIVE PUBLIC BENEFITS AND ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE TO THEM. HELDMAN FAMILY FOOD PANTRY: THIS PANTRY SERVES PEOPLE OF ALL FAITHS, AND IS THE REGION'S ONLY RESOURCE FOR PEOPLE WHO FOLLOW KOSHER DIETARY LAWS. THE PANTRY'S KOSHER FOOD SUPPLY ALSO ASSISTS MUSLIM FAMILIES WHO FOLLOW SIMILAR DIETARY RESTRICTIONS. THIS "CHOICE" PANTRY ENABLES CLIENTS TO SHOP FOR THEIR PREFERRED FOODS AND ADHERES TO USDA GUIDELINES. CLIENTS LIVE WITHIN 200% OR LESS OF THE FEDERAL POVERTY LINE. OFFERINGS INCLUDE: MEAT, STAPLES, CLEANING SUPPLIES, PERSONAL CARE ITEMS AND FRESH PRODUCE, SOME GROWN IN OUR OWN GARDEN. MENTAL HEALTH CASE MANAGEMENT: INDIVIDUALS WITH CHRONIC MENTAL ILLNESS ARE ENGAGED IN ONGOING CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES WITH THE GOAL OF HELPING THIS HIGHLY VULNERABLE POPULATION MAINTAIN STABILITY AND SECURITY. PEER-BASED SOCIALIZATION: RECOGNIZING THAT SOCIALIZATION AND SPIRITUAL NEEDS ARE IMPORTANT TO ACHIEVING WELLNESS, JEWISH FAMILY SERVICE OFFERS THIS BEST-PRACTICE, THERAPEUTIC PROGRAMMING TO ADDRESS THE UNIQUE NEEDS OF PEOPLE EXPERIENCING HUNGER, POVERTY AND MENTAL ILLNESS WHO DESIRE TO BE SERVED WITHIN A JEWISH CULTURAL SETTING.
