WEATHERIZATION/HEAP/SR PROGRAMS: THE WEATHERIZATION PROGRAM PROVIDES INSULATION, MINOR REPAIRS, FURNACE REPAIRS/REPLACEMENT, WATER HEATER REPLACEMENT, ETC. TO MAKE HOMES OF LOW INCOME RESIDENTS MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT. HEAP PROGRAM: HEAP ASSISTS LOW INCOME RESIDENTS WITH PAYMENTS OF HEATING AND ELECTRIC BILLS TO KEEP UTILITIES FROM BEING SHUT OFF FOR NON-PAYMENT. SENIOR PROGRAMS: SENIOR PROGRAMS ASSIST THE ELEDERLY RESIDENTS OF THE SERVICE AREA WITH TRANSPORTATION, MEALS, RECREATION, HOMEMAKER SERVICES, SUPPORTIVE SERVICES, INFORMATION AND ASSISTANCE AND CASE MANAGEMENT WHICH ENABLES THEM TO HAVE A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE.
COMPREHENSIVE PRESCHOOL PROGRAM: COMPREHENSIVE PRESCHOOL PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES EDUCATION, HEALTH, NUTRITION, AND FAMILY SERVICES TO ECONOMICALLY AT RISK FAMILIES. THE SERVICES HELP CHILDREN HAVE A HEALTHY AND PRE-ACADEMIC HEAD START WHILE ASSISTING THE FAMILIES TO BECOME MORE SELF-SUFFICIENT.
THE COMMUNITY SERVICES BLOCK GRANT (CSBG) PROVIDES FUNDS TO ALLEVIATE THE CAUSES AND CONDITIONS OF POVERTY IN COMMUNITIES BY ALLOWING THEM TO TAILOR PROGRAMS BEST SUITED FOR THEIR NEEDS.
