RESEARCH THE HISTORY OF THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD (UGRR) IN CASS COUNTY --RECEIVED ADDITIONAL RESEARCH FOR THE BONINE HOUSE RESEARCH LIBRARY FROM ANOTHER LOCAL HISTORIAN, AND LOCAL FAMILIES. URSCC CONTINUES TO DISCOVER AND ADD RESEARCH TO THE LIBRARY AS WELL. --ADDED DISPLAYS TO THE AFRICAN AMERICANS AND UGRR ROOM INCLUDING 102ND USCT AND THE JOURNEY OF THE SANDERS FAMILY. COMPLETED CURRENT DISPLAY IN THE 'BONINE FAMILY ROOM'.
EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT CASS COUNTY AND THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD. --FUNDED THE CASS COUNTY UGRR WAX MUSEUM FINANCIALLY AND WITH URSCC VOLUNTEERS. HOSTED TWO WAX MUSEUMS AT THE BONINE HOUSE. --PRESENTED POWERPOINTS CASS COUNTY AND THE UGRR AND BONINE HOUSE -- A LEGACY OF FREEDOM TO MORE THAN 25 ORGANIZATIONS, SCHOOLS AND GROUPS THROUGHOUT THE REGION. --BONINE HOUSE DOCENTS SHOW THE HOUSE AND TOLD THE STORY OF THE UGRR IN CASS COUNTY TO OVER 1000 VISITORS DURING OUR TOUR SEASON JUNE THROUGH OCTOBER. --ANNUAL UGRR DAYS ATTRACTED OVER 2000 VISITORS TO LEARN ABOUT THE UGRR IN CASS COUNTY THROUGH TOURS, PRESENTATIONS AND SITE VISITS. --ADDED URSCC TOURS TO OUR WEBSITE; ADDED ANOTHER SITE ON THE URSCC 20-SITE SELF GUIDED DRIVING TOUR. --THE STEPHEN BOGUE HOUSE, THE URSCC DRIVING TOUR, THE BONINE HOUSE RESEARCH LIBRARY AND WAX MUSEUM PROGRAM WERE ACCEPTED ON THE NATIONAL PARKS SERVICE NETWORK TO FREEDOM REGISTER. --GRANT FROM ASLAH TO PUT THE STEPHEN BOUGE HOUSE ON THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES. --PARTICIPATED IN SEVERAL ON-LINE PROGRAMS PRESENTING URSCC PROGRAMS.
