IT INCLUDES FOUR COMPONENTS THAT WORK TO BUILD THE PARENT-CHILD RELATIONSHIP AND LAY THE FOUNDATION FOR A BABY'S HEALTHY SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL AND COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT. CUDDLEBRIGHT EXPERIENCE IS PROVIDED FREE OF COST TO PEDIATRIC NICUS AND A NUMBER OF NONPROFIT PARTNERS WHO WORK WITH VULNERABLE POPULATIONS.IN ADDITION, THE INSTITUTE OFFERS, VIA ITS WEBSITE, EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS OF EXPERTS IN THE FIELD OF NEUROSCIENCE AND EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT AS A COMMUNITY RESOURCE FOR PROFESSIONALS IN THE FIELD TO BUILD THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF THE LATEST FINDINGS TO INFORM THEIR PRACTICE.
SIMMS/MANN INSTITUTE FACULTY FELLOWSHIPTHE SIMMS/MANN INSTITUTE FACULTY FELLOWSHIP RECOGNIZES CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY COLLEGE AND CSU FACULTY IN THE FIELD OF 0-3 EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION WHOSE PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE, LEADERSHIP, AND RESEARCH INTERESTS RELATED TO EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT WILL MAKE SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE FIELD AND THE BROADER COMMUNITY. THE FELLOWSHIP PROVIDES ACCESS TO: 1) WORLD RENOWNED RESEARCHERS WHO PRESENT CUTTING-EDGE FINDINGS AT THE ANNUAL SIMMS/MANN INSTITUTE THINK TANK; 2) A COLLABORATIVE, INTERDISCIPLINARY COHORT OF FACULTY INTERESTED IN FURTHERING THEIR KNOWLEDGE; AND 3) SUPPORT IN CREATING AND COMPLETING A PROJECT RELATED TO NEW RESEARCH IN THE FIELD, TO BE USED FOR CLASSROOM AND COMMUNITY PRESENTATION.

THE FIRST 36 PROJECT WAS CREATED TO PROVIDE PARENT & ME FACILITATORS WITH AN EXCLUSIVE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY. IT OFFERS ACCESS TO THE LATEST CHILD DEVELOPMENT THEORIES COMBINED WITH CUTTING-EDGE NEUROSCIENCE RESEARCH RELATING TO CHILDREN AGES 0-3 - AND STRATEGIES TO HELP PARENTS PROMOTE HEALTHY CONNECTIONS AND RESILIENCE WITH THEIR CHILDREN.
