THE MULTICULTURAL COUNSELING AND RESEARCH CENTER (MCRC) IS DEDICATED TO IMPORVING THE HEALTH AND WELLBEING OF INDIVIDUALS TROUGH EDUCATION, COUNSELING, RESEARCH, AND ADVOCACY. THE CENTER SERVES INDIVIDUALS OF ALL RELIGIOUS BACKGROUNDS, RACES, AND ETHNICITIES.

PROVIDED COUNSELING SERVICES TO 32 CLIENTS CONSISTING OF CHILDREN, ADOLESCENTS AND ADULTS BILLED AT A LOWER RATE THAN THAT OF A REGULAR INSURANCE PANEL. PROBONO COUNSELING SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO 11 CLIENTS. INTERNS, PROVISIONNALLY LICENSED COUNSELORS PROVIDED FREE SERVIVES TO 28 CLIENTS; AND LICENSED THERAPISTS PROVIDED FREE COUNSELING TO 11 CLIENTS DURING THE FISCAL YEAR. NO COST TUTORING SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO 32 CHILDREN. IMMIGRATION SUPPORT SERVICES WERE GIVEN FREE OF CHARGE TO 3 REFUGEES ALONG WITH ESL TUTORING SERVICES TO 4 ADULTS.PROVIDED INTERNSHIPS AND PRACTICUMS TO 2 STUDENTS, EACH PARTICIPATING IN 600 HOUR INTERNSHIP AND PRACTIUM PROGRAMPROVIDE COUNSELING TO DETAINEES (324)IN THE ST LOUIS COUNTY JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER.WORKED WITH ST LOUIS CITY DRUG COURT UNDER RESEARCH GRANT.
