THE EVENT IS AN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION WHERE ARCHITECTS, ENGINEERS, CONTRACTORS ANDSTUDENTS THEY MENTOR COMPETE TO DESIGN AND BUILD GIANT STRUCTURES MADE ENTIRELYFROM FULL CANS OF FOOD. AT THE CLOSE OF THE COMPETITION ALL OF THE FOOD FROM THENYC COMPETITION IS DONATED TO "CITY HARVEST". THE DONATED FOOD BENEFITTEDTHOUSANDS OF FAMILIES IN THE NYC AREA.
