HNB IS A CATALYST FOR RESTORING HOPE AND UNITY TO OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH YOUTH AND COUNSELING SERVICES AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES WHICH INCLUDE PROVIDING SAFE HAVENS FOR CHILDREN, LOW COST COUNSELING AND FOOD

YOUTH SERVICES HNB SPONSORS AN ANNUAL SUMMER BAND CAMP FOR STUDENTS, SUMMER SPORTS CAMPS AND PROVIDES MEALS DURING THE SUMMER FOR NEEDY CHILDREN. OUR DIRECTOR HOSTS ANNUAL YOUTH LEADER RETREAT FOR LEADERS OF YOUTH PROFRAMS IN LOCAL CHURCHES THROUGHOUT OUR COMMUNITY. OUR DIRECTOR ALSO MENTORS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN NEED.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT HNB FACILITATES A NUMBER OF COMMUNITY PROGRAMS INCLUDING PROJECT EAT, WHICH PROVIDES FOOD TO DOSADVANTAGED AND LOW- INCOME PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY, INCLUDING FOOD FOR CHILDREN DURING THE SUMMER WHEN THEY DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO FREE AND REDUCED LUNCH PROGRAMS AT SCHOOL. WE HELD A BACK TO SCHOOL EVENT THAT PROVIDES SCHOOL SUPPLIES, HEALTH SCREENINGS, HAIRCUTS AND OTHER SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO DISADVANTAGED YOUTH. WE COORDINATE WITH AND SUPPORT COMMUNITY PROGRAMS THAT PROVIDE SHELTER FOR THE HOMELESS, INCLUDING TEMPORARY COLD NIGHT SHELTER PROGRAMS. WE ALSO PROVIDED FOOD TO HOMEBOUND PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY AND PROVIDED GIFTS TO DISADVANTAGED STUDENTS.
