SMYRNA PUBLIC SAFETLY FOUNDATION PROVIDES SUPPORT OF THE FIRE AND POLICE DEPARTMENTS IN SMYRNA, GA. THEY PROVIDE DIRECT GRANTS TO BOTH OF THESE DEPARTMENTS TO ASSIST WITH TRAINING AND COMMUNITY PROGRAMS. THEY ALSO PROVIDE BENEVOLENCE ASSISTANCE TO THOSE EMPLOYED BY THE FIRE AND POLICE DEPARTMENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES. IN 2021, THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED A BENEVOLENCE GIFT TO THE EWING FAMILY IN HONOR OF OFFICER CHRISTOPHER EWING WHO WAS KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY. THEY ALSO ASSISTED PANDEMIC-IMPACTED FAMILIES IN THE COMMUNITIES BY PAYING OFF DEBTS TO LUNCHROOMS IN SEVEN SCHOOLS WITHIN SMYRNA.
