LOCAL BIBLE BEE CONTESTS WERE HELD JUNE 1 - AUGUST 10, SUPPORTED BY 240LOCAL HOSTS. 5,941 COMPETITORS (CHILDREN AND YOUTH FROM THE AGES OF 7TO 18) DEMONSTRATED THEIR LEARNING OF THE BIBLE IN THE FORM OF BOTHMEMORIZED BIBLE VERSES AND KNOWLEDGE OF BIBLE FACTS. WINNERS WEREDETERMINED BY A WRITTEN TEST ONLINE.
SHELBY KENNEDY FOUNDATION, INC. HOSTED AND EXECUTED THE NATIONAL BIBLEBEE CONTEST HELD IN COVINGTON, KENTUCKY, WHERE OVER 370 CHILDREN ANDYOUTH, AGES 7 TO 18, WERE INVITED FROM THE LOCAL CONTESTS TOPARTICIPATE IN THIS NATIONAL EVENT. THE EVENT WAS HELD NOVEMBER 17-20,2021. THE COMPETITORS WERE DRAWN FROM EACH OF THREE AGE GROUPS:PRIMARY (AGES 7-10), JUNIOR (AGES 11-14), AND SENIOR (AGES 15-18). THECONTESTANTS COMPETED FOR PRIZE MONEY WITH THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF THE BIBLE,BOTH IN MEMORIZED BIBLE VERSES AND BIBLE FACTS. ELECTRONIC AND ORALTESTING DETERMINED MULTIPLE WINNERS IN THESE CATEGORIES. AT THE END OFTHE NATIONAL BIBLE BEE COMPETITION, PRIZES TOTALING JUST OVER $175,000IN THE FORM OF CASH AND/OR SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED TO THE TOP FIVECOMPETITORS IN EACH AGE GROUP.
