IN FISCAL YEAR 2021 THE EAST BOSTON NEIGHBORHOOD HEALTH CENTER CORP. CONTINUED ITS MISSION TO PROMOTE AND SUSTAIN HEALTHY COMMUNITIES, FAMILIES, AND INDIVIDUALS BY PROVIDING ACCESSIBLE, PERSON-CENTERED, COMPASSIONATE, HIGH-QUALITY HEALTH CARE SERVICES TO ALL WHO LIVE AND WORK IN OUR SERVICE AREA, REGARDLESS OF ABILITY TO PAY, WHILE UPHOLDING DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION. THE CENTER HAD 367,384 PATIENT VISITS DURING THE YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2021.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD PACE PROGRAM AND THE LONG TERM CARE PHARMACY CONTINUED TO PROVIDE ALL INCLUSIVE CARE FOR THE ELDERLY DURING THE YEAR. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED DIRECT CARE FOR 8,409 MEMBER MONTHS FOR ITS PACE PARTICIPANTS FOR THE PERIOD ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2021.
THE HEALTH CENTER PROVIDES ONSITE PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS AT ITS TWO RETAIL PHARMACY LOCATIONS. HEALTH CENTER PATIENTS ARE ABLE TO PURCHASE PRESCRIPTIONS AT SELECT 340B PHARMACY LOCATIONS IN THE AREA SUCH AS CVS, WALGREENS,AND RITE AIDE. DURING THE PERIOD ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2021, THE ORGANIZATION FILLED 458,334 PRESCRIPTIONS FOR ITS PATIENTS.
