FOREST CONSERVATION DAYS. OVER A 10-DAY PERIOD, SAF BUSSED 3,600 5TH GRADE STUDENTS AND 360 OF THEIR TEACHERS AND PARENTS FROM INNER-CITY SAN JOSE TO A FORESTED REGIONAL PARK FOR FOUR HOURS OF GUIDED WALK AND NATURAL RESOURCE MGMT. DEMONSTRATION AND DISPLAY.
FORESTRY INSTITUTE FOR TEACHERS. KINDERGARTEN-12TH GRADE TEACHERS FROM THROUGHOUT CALIF. PARTICIPATE IN A 3-WEEK LONG INSTRUCTION. THEY WERE PRESENTED INFORMATION ON NATURAL RESOURCE MGMT AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE; PROVIDED MATERIALS ON FORESTRY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE.
