THE LOS ANGELES BOYS & GIRLS CLUB PROVIDES A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS TO THE MEMBERS OFTHE COMMUNITY MAINLY IN THE NORTHEAST LOS ANGELES AREA. PROGRAMS CONSIST OF ACADEMICSUCCESS, CHARACTER AND CITIZENSHIP, AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLES. IN ADDITION, THE CLUBALLOWS ITS FACILITIES TO BE USED BY MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY. ACADEMIC SUCCESS IS A SERIES OF PROGRAMS TO ASSIST BOY AND GIRLS TO INCREASE THEIR ACADEMIC SUCCESS. HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE AND TUTORING IS PROVIDED ON A DAILY BASIS. COMPUTER LAB IS AVAILABLE FOR CHILDREN TO USE COMPUTERS AND TO ACCESS THE INTERNET. A CAREER PROGRAM IS AVAILABLE TO IDENTIFY JOB REQUIREMENTS, SEEK OUT FINANCIAL AID AND PARTICIPATE IN CAREER AND JOB SKILL ACTIVITIES.
